SEND Buddies to support Islington parents

Are you a parent of a child with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)? Do you live in Islington? You may want to meet a SEND Buddy.

SEND Buddies are a group of parents all with SEND children. We have received training in Working with Parents at The Parent House. We are available to offer 1:1 sessions during school hours in term time.

We can offer the following:

Real-Life Experience with SEND

  • We understand EHCPs, school support, local services, and how to speak up for your child.

A Listening Ear

  • We’re here to listen without judgement, offer reassurance, and understand what you're going through.

Help Making Sense of It All

  • We can explain tricky systems in plain language, come to meetings with you, and guide you to the right support.

Understanding & Hope

  • We've faced similar challenges and are here to share strength, care, and hope for the journey ahead.
